Matrix parent network & resource center

About Us

Matrix Parent Network is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization staffed primarily by parents of children with special needs. We respond to an average of 7,000 requests annually for information or assistance from over 1,000 families and professionals. Through the delivery of comprehensive support services, Matrix helps families in Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties become well-informed and better able to advocate for their children in order to enrich their lives.

Matrix helps parents to become empowered through information, education, and support. Our mission is to empower families of children with disabilities to understand and access the systems that serve them and hold fast to the values of empowerment, human dignity, equal opportunity, and social justice. We proudly provide comprehensive multi-lingual and multi-cultural services, at no cost to families in need. There are no income guidelines for participation, and everyone is welcome for services regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or special need.
