Matrix serves as a Regional Parent Technical Assistance Center (RPTAC) for Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRC). In this role Matrix (Region 6) provides technical assistance through a variety of services to the Western Region's 25 Parent Centers.
Region 6 includes:
Alaska, American Samoa, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.There are six Regional Parent Technical Assistance centers called RPTACs and a national coordinating office:
The National Technical Assistance Alliance Office.
The ALLIANCE provides technical assistance through a variety of services to the nation's 106 Parents CentersRPTACs are funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
