Technical

Matrix serves as a Regional Parent Technical Assistance Center (RPTAC) for Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRC). In this role Matrix (Region 6) provides technical assistance through a variety of services to the Western Region's 25 Parent Centers.

Region 6 includes:
Alaska, American Samoa, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

There are six Regional Parent Technical Assistance centers called RPTACs and a national coordinating office:
The National Technical Assistance Alliance Office.
The ALLIANCE provides technical assistance through a variety of services to the nation's 106 Parents Centers

RPTACs are funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.

The information in this area is specifically intended for directors, staff and board members of Region 6 Parent Centers (PTI's and CPRC's) which are providing services to parents of children with special needs.
