Getting Ready for Preschool: Workshop for Parents of Children in Early Start. Learn about choosing a developmentally appropriate education program for your child. Explore different service models, such as County Office of Education, Head Start, and community preschools and learn about the assessment process and your decision-making power. Wednesday, April 23rd, 6:30 -- 8:00 PM at Matrix' office in Novato.

A Sibling Support Workshop in Suisun
Sibshops are for any child from 8-12 years old who has a sibling of any age with special needs. Brothers and sisters of kids with disabilities learn through games and stories about how others handle difficult situations. Kids give and get support while learning more disabilities through fun activities. Lunch and snack will be provided. Saturday, April 26th, 10 AM -- 2 PM *Registration is required by April 18th. The IEP: How to Monitor Your Child's Progress
Topics will include: Using goals, annual reviews & other data to determine if your child is making reasonable progress. We will discuss how present levels & goals are determined, required features of both & helpful tips on a parent’s role
